How you can
lose money here.

Every other page on this site describes what Seltrix pays. This one describes what can go wrong, and it is the page to read before you deposit anything.

Last updated 13 August 2026 · Operated by Seltrix

The short version. You can lose everything you deposit. The reward rate is funded by the platform rather than earned in a market, nothing here is insured or guaranteed by anyone, and no regulator stands behind it. Deposit only an amount you can lose entirely without it mattering to you.

Your capital is at risk

You can lose the entire amount you deposit. Not a portion of it, and not only the reward: the deposit itself. A fixed conversion rate removes price volatility from your experience of the product. It does not remove the risk that the platform cannot pay you back, and those are different things.

A published rate is a statement of what we intend to pay. It is not a guarantee that we will be able to, and no document on this site should be read as one.

Where the rewards come from

This is the single most important thing to understand before depositing, and it is stated here rather than left to be inferred.

Seltrix pays 2% a day for fifteen days. On a 1 USDT deposit that is 250 SLX credited, 75 SLX minted in rewards, and 308.75 SLX net of tax at maturity, redeemable for about 1.235 USDT. In fifteen days you would receive roughly 23.5% more USDT than you put in.

That money is paid from platform reserves. Seltrix does not lend your USDT, trade it, stake it, or place it in any external venue that generates a return, and no document on this site describes such a source. The reward is a promotional rate set and funded by the operator out of reserves it holds, which include the deposits of other users.

Two consequences follow, and both are yours to weigh.

  • The rate is not earned, so it is not durable. Nothing external produces 2% a day. The rate continues for as long as the operator chooses to fund it and is able to, and no longer.
  • Payouts depend on reserves, not on performance. Whether you are paid depends on whether sufficient USDT is held when you redeem. If reserves are insufficient — because too many users redeem at once, because deposits slow, or for any other reason — payouts stop, and the loss falls on whoever has not yet been paid.

A product with these characteristics is fragile by construction. If that is not a risk you want, this is the paragraph to act on.

This is not a bank, and not a regulated investment

Deposit protection None

No deposit guarantee or compensation scheme covers anything you send here. If the platform fails, no fund reimburses you.

Insurance None

Balances are not insured against loss, theft, or the failure of any party.

Regulatory status Unregulated

Seltrix is not a bank, is not a licensed investment firm, and is not authorised by any financial regulator. No ombudsman or compensation scheme is available to you.

Your counterparty One operator

Every obligation to you is an obligation of the operator alone. There is no custodian, trustee or third party holding your funds on your behalf.

The word "deposit" is used on this site in its everyday sense of sending funds in. It does not mean a bank deposit and carries none of the protections of one.

Reserve risk

Material.

Redemption depends on the platform holding enough USDT at the moment you redeem. Reserves are monitored against outstanding obligations, and payouts leave from multisig custody requiring more than one approval, which limits what a single operator or a single compromised key can do.

Those controls govern how funds move. They do not create funds. No control described anywhere on this site makes the pot larger than it is, and none of them protects you from a shortfall.

Operational risk

Material.

  • Incorrect ledger entries, unavailable services or failed settlement can delay or prevent a payout.
  • A defect could misprice a conversion, mint an incorrect reward, or credit a balance in error. Balances arising from a defect may be corrected downwards.
  • Seltrix depends on Telegram, on hosting and database providers, and on a TON node provider. An outage at any of them stops the product working.
  • The service may be suspended, withdrawn or discontinued.

Custody and chain risk

  • Transfers are irreversible. USDT sent to a wrong address, on the wrong network, or to an address that cannot receive it is gone. We cannot recall it.
  • Your Telegram account is your account. Whoever controls it controls your balance. We cannot restore an account lost with the Telegram account behind it.
  • Your wallet is yours to secure. A lost seed phrase is a lost payout destination, and nobody can recover it for you.
  • Impersonation is the most common way people lose money here. Seltrix never messages you first. Nobody here will ever ask for a seed phrase, a private key, or a payment to release a withdrawal. Announcements come only from @seltrixapp.
  • Chain congestion, node failure or a network fault can delay a deposit being credited or a payout being settled.

Policy and regulatory risk

Material.

The reward rate, the tax, the limits and the eligibility rules are platform policy and can change for new terms. A term already running keeps the rate it opened at, but nothing obliges the platform to keep offering that rate to anyone afterwards.

Regulation of crypto-asset products is changing in most countries. A change in law where you live, or where the operator is established, could restrict or end your access to Seltrix, in some cases without notice and while you hold a position. Whether it is lawful for you to use this product is yours to determine.

The lock, and what SLX is worth

A term cannot be broken. Once locked, your SLX is inaccessible for fifteen days. It cannot be unlocked early, cancelled, sold, or partially withdrawn, for any reason, including a change in your circumstances or in the platform's.

SLX is an internal accounting unit. It does not trade anywhere, has no market price, and cannot be moved to a wallet or sold to anyone. Its only value is what Seltrix will redeem it for, at the rate Seltrix publishes, if Seltrix is able to pay. If the platform stops paying, SLX is worth nothing and there is no market to sell it into.

Tax

Rewards and redemptions may be taxable where you live. Reporting and paying that tax is yours to do. We do not withhold tax, do not report on your behalf, and do not provide tax documents. The 5% "redemption tax" is a platform charge, not a government tax, and paying it discharges nothing you may owe an authority.

No advice, and no promise

Nothing on this site is financial, investment, legal or tax advice, and nothing on it is a recommendation to deposit. No employee, affiliate or referrer of Seltrix is authorised to advise you, and any person promising you a guaranteed or risk-free return is acting outside these terms and outside the truth.

If you are unsure whether this product is suitable for you, the correct action is to take independent advice, or to not deposit.
